MEET INFORMATION

Welcome to the 5th Annual CYUP Misfits Invite!

Over the past five years, this meet has become a showcase of excellence, producing a National Record, 5 US #1 performances, and more than 50 Illinois #1s!

CYUP Misfits is more than just a competition—it's a chance for athletes to challenge themselves in unique "off" events like the 300m, 600m, and 1000m, breaking away from their usual lineup. This format provides a fun and competitive way to kick off the season, explore new opportunities, and make a statement without the pressure of their main events.

This is an opportunity to compete with national talent on one of the fastest tracks in the nation. We believe that this venue and meet can flourish to become the mecca of indoor track in the midwest.

We believe we can do this by making this a meet for athletes of all abilities. Whether you are an all american, state champ or newbie, this meet is for you! Our main goal is to provide the best athlete experience possible. While we want to make sure that spectators and coaches have an amazing time, let’s remember that it is about the athletes first.

We’re excited to see what this year’s competitors bring to the track. Let’s make the 5th year of CYUP Misfits a meet to remember!

Come and compete at Worrill Center to get a new personal best!

SEEDING GUIDELINES

HOKA ELITE STANDARDS

We kindly request that athletes and coaches use the conversion factors below when entering times for events where the athlete does not have a current mark. Only marks or seed times achieved since the start of the 2024 indoor season will be accepted. Please note that road races will not be accepted for seeding purposes. Please ensure all submitted performances adhere to this requirement. Road races will not be considered. Cross country time may be a factor when seeding 2 Mile athletes.

All submitted marks and seed times will be verified to ensure accuracy. While we understand athletes may have improved over the past year or summer, we will use the conversion factors below, along with our discretion, to determine if seed times are reasonable. Seed times that do not align with an athlete's past performances will be removed from the meet.

For any questions or concerns regarding seed times, please email us at cyuptraining@gmail.com.

Important Note:

  • Please enter 1600m and 3200m seed times when registering for the 1 Mile and 2 Mile events.

Conversion Factors

  • 300m = 200m time x 1.60 OR 400m time ÷ 1.3964

  • 600m = 400m time x 1.66 OR 800m time ÷ 1.38

  • 1000m = 800m time x 1.32

Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining fair and competitive seeding!
