The CYUP Distance Training Program is designed to make distancer runners better overall athletes. Unlike many distance running programs that just have you run mileage, CYUP believes in incorporating strength, power, speed and mobility while concurrently building the athlete's base endurance. The goal of the Distance Training Program is to make runners more physically and mentally prepared when it comes race day. This program teaches athletes how to train in a positive team environment and grow to be future leaders.
The program is specifically designed for athletes looking to improve in events ranging from the 800M to 5,000M. The training is broken into two groups: 400/800/1500 group and 800/1500/5000.
